Assistant Merchandise Planner

Assistant Merchandiser Planner

Based in our Amersham head office. This role forms a critical link between the Entertainer Commercial team, the Buying team, our UK & international retail operations and Logistics Planning teams and is integral to developing the business. Your main objective will be to manage the profitability, ranging and stock management process to allow our retail to successfully replicate our brand within their businesses.

You will be a commercially aware individual that has previous experience within a relevant merchandising role and has the ability to quickly gain a good understanding of systems and processes as well as strong communication skills. You will need to combine your commercial knowledge and awareness of our product ranges with a natural ability to build working relationships to deliver a first class service to our partners.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear, regular analysis to identify forecasts, trends and opportunities across each region. 
  • Provide option/depth analysis to drive sales and manage stock levels.
  • Responsible for distribution of stock across markets.
  • Management of WSSI, highlighting key performance issues and managing OTB.
  • Work with Logistics Planning team to ensure stock allocations for each retail channel can be input onto the system efficiently ensuring stock is reserved as per delivery plans.
  • Maintain stock levels across the business to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Other ad hoc duties such as analysis and reporting as requested by your line manager.
  • Present range in International buy meetings, collaborating with partners to agree ranges and order volumes (International role)
  • Work closely with partners to influence product selection, buying volumes and transport arrangements (International role)

 

Experience and Skils

  • 1-2 years previous merchandising experience would be preferable
  • International merchandising experience would be an advantage
  • Commercially aware with excellent communication skills
  • Proactive and positive approach
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Practical experience of using Excel at an advanced level
