It's hard to imagine that the first Entertainer store only opened back in 1981. Today The Entertainer is the U.K.’s Largest Independent Toy Retailer. We have over 170 UK stores stretched across England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the islands and we are still growing!  We have several flagship regional stores including the Bullring, Birmingham and our two Westfield London stores. We are also partnering with a growing number of retailers to showcase our brand selling our toys in their retail space. We also sell toys online via our website www.TheToyShop.com and other partner channels.

 

As a business, we own the Early Learning Centre, and Totally Toys brands as well as our own brand Addo Play. Outside of the UK we own the Poly Jugetes toy shops in Spain plus numerous Entertainer and Early Learning Centre international franchise partnerships.

All of the projects that we undertake are to improve the business and to allow us to become a recognised high street name. We offer a standard 39.5 hour contract as well as a supportive Blended Working Policy which includes homeworking.

As Digital Marketing Manager you will drive our acquisition strategy across our multiple channels and platforms.  You will have responsibility for a multi-million-pound digital marketing budget across paid media and SEO, so it is vital that you are comfortable with numbers and are commercially minded.  As well as leading a small team of marketing executives, you will own our relationship with external marketing agencies and manage a diverse set of internal stakeholders across the business.

You will possess a strategic and commercial mindset with a proven track record of driving successful customer acquisition campaigns.  The job holder will have an ability to adhere to budgets and deliver exceptional results within a fast-paced retail environment. You will be a fiercely analytical marketeer who uses data and insight to inform and define decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver the online acquisition strategy.
  • Manage £3m annual online marketing budget to drive sales and improve ROI.
  • Represent the online team at a senior level internally and externally.
  • Manage relationships with our external marketing agencies to get best value from the money we spend with them.
  • Line manage the online marketing team and provide support and coaching as necessary.
  • Work closely with the wider online team to drive performance.
  • Support and educate the wider business understanding of acquisition.

Skills & Experience

  1. Proven online marketing experience within a retail environment.
  2. Proven experience in managing marketing budgets and 3rd party agencies.
  3. Demonstratable expertise in PPC, Affiliates and SEO.
  4. Expert user of Google Analytics 360.
  5. Previous experience leading a team.
