Partnership Marketing Manager

It’s hard to imagine that the first Entertainer store only opened back in 1981. Today The Entertainer is the U.K.’s Largest Independent Toy Retailer. In the UK we operate over 162 UK stores stretched across England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the islands!  As a business, we also own the Early Learning Centre and Totally Toys brands, both of which are represented through the UK and international partnerships including Matalan and Mothercare. Outside of the UK we also manage a chain of toy stores in both Spain and Malta plus a growing number of  Entertainer and Early Learning Centre franchise partnerships across the globe. We also own a brand toy supplier Addo Play – which supplies our stores and other retailers across the globe.

Working in our busy marketing team in the Head Office you will be responsible for managing the marketing for our partners.  Your objective will be to flawlessly roll out the marketing calendar with each Partner.  You will execute and adapt the marketing plan in the context of each Partner and their local market working with the Partner to deliver the agreed elements. 

To be successful, you will need to be confident and sociable, highly organised, innovative & creative, commercially astute and able to work cross-functionally within The Entertainer and across multiple partners.   The role will require travel, and you must hold a valid UK driving license with a minimum of 12 months driving experience. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the marketing strategy into each market/partner. Adapt appropriately to be responsive to the local market/channel.
  • Develop and execute plans to drive brand awareness, LFL growth, increase footfall and improve conversion.
  • Adapt plans to be responsive to bespoke market requirements and partner requirements to maximise impact and sales.
  • Ensure marketing plans are activated across all touchpoints in a true Omnichannel
  • Ensure the brand is represented across all touchpoints to the highest of standards and in line with the brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to develop, communicate and execute the plans.
  • Prepare, produce and distribute required marketing assets to the appropriate markets. To manage the asset library to ensure partners have access to appropriate
  • Manage and control the timelines and budgets for each partner.
  • Proactively monitor campaign performance with the partners, conducting analysis and share learnings. Use effective insights to guide the partners.
  • Work with The Entertainer trading team to develop a trading calendar for each partner

Experience and Skills

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of marketing experience within a retail or B2C focussed business.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and management skills, the ability to manage multiple projects at once. Ability to work effectively cross-functionally.
  • Ability to develop effective relationships
  • Excellent commercial understanding
  • Ideally a degree or equivalent qualification and proven experience within a retail or B2C environment.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
  • Experience of using and maintaining an asset management system is advantagious.
