Social Media & Content Assistant

The Social Media and Content Assistant will assist the social media team in bringing The Entertainer and Early Learning Centre brands to life across all digital channels, engaging our customers and driving sales.

Assisting the Social and PR team with administrative support from reporting and coordination of competition prizes, press samples to content creation and scheduling makes this a busy and varied role so you will be flexible and work well under pressure.

A strong all-rounder with good attention to detail, you’ll be comfortable analysing data, reporting on activity, producing videos and liaising with partners


  • Liaise with partners and our in-house design team to brief artwork for our social channels, website and online marketing
  • Work with the Social Media and Content Executive to manage The Entertainer’s social media channels on a day-to-day basis through copywriting, scheduling posts, and creating video and image content.
  • Create feedback decks for partners to show the success of campaign activity
  • Measure the ROI of social content focusing on reach, engagement, click through and sales.
  • Manage social media competition activity.
  • Work with other departments on new product releases, ad campaigns and other key brand messages and events.
  • Keep tracks of social media trends and react accordingly.
  • Schedule store events and grand store opening events and work with the digital team on paid social campaigns.
  • Assist other members of the online team as required.
  • Manage the monthly PR report
  • Coordination of press and influencer samples
  • Coordinating coverage from daily press coverage updates
  • Briefing in store opening press releases
  • Researching and liaising with charities for new store opening events
  • Attendance at PR events and capture of content for channels


Skills & Experience

  • Experience of using social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram.
  • Creative thinker with an ability to recognize the types of content that will engage our audience.
  • Comfortable using Excel, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, video editing tools and Photoshop. Experience using a CMS, specifically Hybris is also advantageous.
  • Commercially aware with a good understanding of ecommerce and demonstrating ROI.
  • Customer focussed - aware of what customers need and dedicated to making sure they get it.
  • Highly organised and able to use spreadsheets to manage calendars and report on performance.
  • Good communication skills and comfortable dealing with third parties via phone or email.
