Toy retailing is demanding and fast paced with a real focus on delivering brilliant service to our big and our little customers. To be successful you will be hands on and enjoy operating in volume driven, highly seasonal trading environments. You will also need to be able to make smart commercial decisions and help your manager to organise, develop and motivate your team to deliver a top performing store.

We trade Monday to Saturday with no Sunday opening, so that day is for you and your family.
You will need to work 5 days out of 6 including Saturdays and you need to be flexible to work extra hours especially at Christmas during peak trade.

Whilst supporting your Store Manager, your duties and key responsibilities as our Assistant Manager include;
- Working with your team to offer exceptional levels of customer service supported by brilliant product knowledge
- Implementing and executing regular promotional changes and delivering excellent merchandising standards on the shop floor
- Developing & coaching your team to deliver fantastic sales
- Building external relationships to market your store and grow sales

Hands on Operator: Leads from the front and prepared to work alongside the team to ensure tasks are completed and the store is replenished. Able to deal with the day to day activities requiring both physical and mental stamina.
Driven & Self Motivated: Sets the tone with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and willing to go the extra mile when required to get the job done. Able to pull the team together in times of difficulty and has the ability to self-motivate at the same time.
Tech Savvy: Has the knowledge and confidence to use the latest ‘tech’ and smart devices to complete routine retail operations including basic back office operations and product movements.
Ideally you will be currently working as a Branch Manager, Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, Sales Manager, Department Manager for a customer focused retailer looking for a new career challenge.
