It’s hard to imagine that the first Entertainer store only opened back in 1981. Today The Entertainer is the U.K.’s Largest Independent Toy Retailer. In the UK we operate over 170 UK stores stretched across England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the islands! As a business, we also own the Early Learning Centre and Totally Toys brands, both of which are represented through the UK and international partnerships including Matalan. Outside of the UK we also manage a chain of toy stores in both Spain and Malta plus a growing number of Entertainer and Early Learning Centre franchise partnerships across the globe. We also own a brand toy supplier Addo Play – which supplies our stores and other retailers across the globe.

Working closely with our buying and planning & allocation teams your job will be pivotal, providing commercial support for all aspects of the product buying process. This will include following through on buying decisions and being a point of contact and referral for both the business and our suppliers.
Your main focus will be creation of ranges for our Poly stores in Spain alongside our UK operations
Alongside a keen interest in the toy market, you will need a flexible approach and strong negotiation, communications and organisational skills. You will also have a natural ability to build effective working relationships enabling you to successfully liaise between internal teams, partners and with our supply base. This job offers a great opportunity to fully understand the role of buying and gain valuable experience and knowledge to support possible buying responsibilities in the future. A Spanish speaker would be advantageous.
Some overseas travel will be required.
