Salary: Starting salary £10 per hour (£20,280 per annum (FTE)) rising to £10.50 per hour (£21,294.00 (FTE)) plus generous benefits package, including a £500 welcome payment

Personal Assistant (Support Worker)

Job Purpose

Our Personal Assistants support people to lead full, active and socially connected lives, supporting people to achieve the things that matter to them.

Applicants should have, or be willing to work towards, a qualification meeting the standards required for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

Job Details

We currently have vacancies for either male or female Personal Assistants to join the team who support a young man who lives in his family home in Colinton, Edinburgh.

There are various hours available for this vacancy. Support is provided 7 days a week with a waking night support as well. This is decided by and agreed upon by the team in advance.

Due to an upcoming change in his support needs his current support will be increasing to 24hr care within the family home. His support will require the use of aspiration machines, etc but FULL training will be provided as part of the induction to the service.

Previous experience is not necessary. What is more important are your personal values and your life experiences that you can bring to the role.
