We are recruiting a Consultant Practice Development Facilitator (PDF) to join our team which supports people with long-term physical and mental health conditions to self-manage and improve their wellbeing. The successful candidate will also form part of Thistle’s Training and Consultancy team and will lead the delivery of external training in collaborative, outcomes focused and strengths-based approaches to health and social care colleagues across Scotland.
Thistle’s approach models a generic non specialist approach to rehabilitation and supported self-management and the role of the PDF is to ensure congruence between service delivery in Thistle with the content in our external Training offers.
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Be a senior health and social care practitioner with extensive knowledge and experience of supporting people living with long term physical and mental health conditions to self-manage.

- Be experienced in supporting staff to manage caseloads, waiting times, and ensuring the achievement of expected outcomes.
- Be experienced in using participative approaches to leadership and team building.
- Hold a firm belief that people have strengths, are resilient and are experts in their own lives.
