Salary: Starting salary £10.57 per hour (£21,435.96 per annum (FTE)) rising to £11.07 per hour (£22,449.96 (FTE)) plus generous benefits package, including a £500 welcome payment

Job Purpose
Our Personal Assistants support people to lead full, active and socially connected lives, supporting people to achieve the things that matter to them.
Applicants should have, or be willing to work towards, a qualification meeting the standards required for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
Job Details
We are a young professional couple living together in the Leith/Newhaven area of Edinburgh, and we have just had a baby and returned home. We are looking for new Personal Assistants (male or female) to join our team of dedicated PAs employed by Thistle Foundation. These positions are for 20+ hours per week.
Shifts include sleepovers, day and evening support hours, 7 days a week.
About this opportunity
J is currently studying and M is in full time employment. We are looking for a young at heart individual who can provide personal care and social support to help us live independent lives.
We need you to be able to use your initiative and think creatively to problem solve in the moment whilst keeping a sense of humour. You will need to be able to work flexibly to meet the demands of our changing schedule. Shifts include sleepovers, day and evening support hours. All days are different and you will need to be able to adapt to different situation be that going to University or travelling to other areas of the country or support to do sports. We enjoy socialising and spending time with friends and family.
We also have childcare support from another provider, so our house can be quite busy.
Driving Licence is essential for this position. Please be aware that we have cat.
We like to think we create a fun and inclusive work environment. We would also ask that you are fully vaccinated. You will be part of a larger team and be responsible for creating rotas with the support of other PAs and your Lead Practitioner.
