To assist those we support to lead full, active and socially connected lives and support people to reach their personal outcomes.
Our teams take responsibility for making their own decisions about how they organise their work and how they decide on how they’re going to get their work done. This role therefore requires good interpersonal skills and an ability to set and meet targets, ability to ask for and receive accurate feedback and ensure that cover is managed by the team at all times (e.g. holidays, sickness, training).

Contribute to ongoing use of ‘My Life, My support plan’ by keeping details updated and relevant. Contribute to the yearly review of ‘My Life, My Support Plan’. |

A middle aged gentleman is about to move into his own home in the Dalkeith area. He requires a new team to ensure he can live his life to the fullest. He enjoys exploring the surrounding areas of Lothian the Borders and Fife in his car (being a driver is essential for this post).
This gentleman has a great sense of humour and is a good companion to spend time with. A big Hearts fan too, who likes to go to football games when possible. He is a wheelchair user when out and about but can use a walker to move around himself indoors.
Support consists of prompting and assisting with personal care without taking too much independence away from him. Helping with all aspects of daily living.
What matters to this gentleman is:
The posts available are 2 x 15/16 hour posts or 1 x 30 hour post plus a pool worker (TBA).
It is important for team members to be fun, flexible and patient and have similar interests.
