We are looking for a couple of female* Personal Assistants to join an existing team to support a lady who lives in Leith. She requires support 7 days a week between 9 am and 7 pm.

This lady says:

  • I am a strong and assertive person, who knows what I want.
  • I am honest and say it as it is.
  • I like to be independent and enjoy my own space too, as well as socialising with friends and family.
  • I love animals from the bottom of her heart and, if I could, I would save animals all over the world and look after them.

My team say I am a pleasure to work with. I can get a bit frustrated at times if people don’t understand what I am trying to say. On the whole, I am really popular with staff and friends alike.

My hobbies include:

  • Looking after my three cats (to which I require some support with)
  • Shopping for clothes and items for the house
  • Stopping off for coffee and a snack while out.
  • When at home I enjoy watching soaps on TV and chatting about them.
  • Going to church and chatting to my friends over a coffee afterwards
  • Going on holiday
  • Going to the cinema
  • Visiting the zoo
  • Especially Five Sisters.

Support required and attributes of team members

Support needs are:

  • To help with daily personal care needs
  • Assistance transferring to and from wheelchair
  • Getting out and about in her car, therefore it is important to be a confident driver.
  • It is important to have excellent communication skills, be a good listener and be flexible team player.
