We are recruiting a female* personal assistant to join the team that support a young lady who lives at home and is supported by her family in the Midlothian area.

She is very sociable and outgoing, likes meeting people, spending times with friends, socialising, eating out, music and dancing and it would be helpful if you shared these interests.

You will require good communication and social skills to work effectively with the family and other members of a small team.  This young lady needs help with everyday aspects of life as she can be very vulnerable. She also has additional support needs both physical and emotional and would benefit from having staff that have good attention to detail and a calm nature.  There is also has a long term medical condition that will require your assistance and support and also to assist with personal care.  

You should be able to use your initiative to develop opportunities so that she is fully included in everyday community life as this is very important to her and her family. 

We are looking for a personal assistant with a warm and friendly personality, who can work professionally with the family and with support from other members of the team.  

Support is provided Monday – Friday from 8am to 6pm, and this vacancy is done on a rota basis which are decided by and agreed upon by the team.
