Greenbrook Healthcare, a subsidiary of Totally plc’s Urgent Care Division are currently looking to appoint Patient Champions based at Kings College Hospital UTC to work on a permanent basis.

The post holder will primarily focus on supporting the streaming nurse and treating clinicians with the redirection of appropriate patients to alternative services, for example follow up GP appointments, sign posting patients to other health or social care services and GP registration following relevant policies, procedures and pathways. The successful candidate will also be expected to carry out administrative audits/ reviews where necessary.

The post holder will work flexibly, including a shift pattern that covers 7 days of the week working from 9am - 7pm, to meet the needs of the service. This is a patient-facing role where the post holder will use their interpersonal skills to focus on improving the patient experience through appropriate redirection, signposting, information and education.

 

The ideal candidate will meet the following:

  • GCSE level of education or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Proactive task-oriented attitude
  • Understanding of the health system
  • Excellent customer care skills
  • Support of NHS values/ethics including confidentiality and Equality Opportunities/Diversity
