Field Service Engineer - Air Quality Monitoring

About the role                                       CIQHP

We are currently seeking an experienced filed service engineer to join our air quality monitoring team. The role is based at our headquarters in Crowthorne, Berkshire with site work primarily across the south east including London. We are looking for a motivated individual who is experienced in the maintenance and repair of electro-mechanical devices on site.

Key Duties / Responsibilities    

The successful applicant will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of a number of air quality monitoring sites across the south of the country, this includes routine calibration visits as well as the servicing and repair of the equipment. Key to the role is accurate record keeping and good team communications. The role will also include workshop operation duties including health and safety procedures and operational processes.

Skills & Experience

  • Applicants must be
    • able to demonstrate a practical background in field service engineering in an electronic / mechanical role
    • ability to manage their time and work schedule
    • understand and apply fault finding techniques
    • be willing to work flexibly to complete a task
    • eager to lean and take on new responsibilities
  • Successful candidates will
    • display a “can do” attitude and a strong sense of responsibility  
    • demonstrate good communication skills both verbally and written
    • be competent in the use of Excel, Word etc.
    • have a technical educational background ideally with at least 2 ‘A’ levels or equivalent in Maths / Science / Engineering subjects. Candidates holding higher education qualifications, such as an HND or degree in a technical subject, would also be welcomed, but this is not essential to successfully deliver the role.
    • Hold a full UK driving license

Communication Requirements

Candidates must be able to demonstrate fluency in verbal and written English and be able to interact with basic computer programmes / apps etc.
