Road Safety & Collision Investigation Researcher

About The Role                                      CIQHP

We have a unique opportunity for an ambitious graduate or early careers professional to join our team of experts focused on the research and forensic investigation of road traffic incidents and collisions.  Our team carry out ground-breaking research and investigations on behalf of a wide variety of public and private clients including police forces, government bodies, road authorities, insurers, private companies, claimants and defendants - in both Civil and Criminal proceedings.

At a time of significant and exciting change across the transport domain, TRL remains at the forefront of road safety research whilst driving forward innovation to promote the adoption of sustainable transport methods, and the advantages of connected and autonomous vehicle technologies.  The work that our team does contributes to saving millions of lives around the globe.

We’re keen to hear from individuals who can demonstrate a specific interest and passion for road safety research and/or research related to accident investigation - whether gained through specialist study or through experience within a commercial environment. You’ll be learning from the best; working alongside individuals who share a wide variety of real-world experience and deep expertise in the investigation and analysis of road traffic incidents and the data generated from these – whether caused by vehicle failures, the environment or road user behavior. Critical to our work is the output of well written, robust and concise written reports backed up by excellent presentation skills – with the potential for those who develop their expertise and confidence to become an Expert Witness.

Whilst entry level applicants will need to be based alongside the main team in Crowthorne, Berkshire, we embrace flexible and remote working for those with the experience to manage their own workload.
