If you apply online for a position with Uppingham School we will use the information you provide to assist in the recruitment and selection process.
The information that you supply about yourself may include ‘personal data’ (such as your name, address, telephone number or email) and ‘sensitive personal data’ (such as information about health or criminal convictions). This information assists our recruitment staff in identifying potential candidates. Uppingham School may share your personal information with authorised third parties who carry out reference and background checks on the School’s behalf, Uppingham School will never share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your personal information will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which the information was collected, or as required by law. For unsuccessful candidates, Uppingham School will hold personal data for a maximum of six months from the date the successful candidate is appointed, at which point information about unsuccessful candidates will be securely disposed of.
