Service Overview

Denison House is a wheelchair accessible home in a lovely residential area in Selby. We are a vibrant and spacious, dementia friendly care home and can support up to 31 individuals aged over 65 years old.

We have 15 ensuite bedrooms, several accessible bathrooms alongside a lift and ramp to assist with movement throughout our home. Some of our ground floor rooms have patio doors leading onto our garden and patio areas.

We are proud of our GOOD CQC rating and work closely with the people we support, the people who are important to them and our local care teams to ensure the people we support at Denison House live well in our hotel-like surroundings.

What is the role?

Support Worker - £8.91 – Selby.

Night Shifts.

  • Support the people we support to live their lives to the fullest
  • Using the training provided, aid the people we support through all aspect of life including mealtimes, bathing and day to day activities.
  • By getting to know the people we support you will be able to help write their care plans and understand when risk assessments may be needed.
  • Be there to assist the people we support in daily activities, social interactions, and outings either in a group setting or on a 121 basis.
  • Assist the people we support with their health needs as required, which may include administering medication and attending medical appointments.
  • Keep daily paperwork up to date to ensure we have captured everything that has happened in the day
  • You will work positively with colleagues, families, and external organisations to assist with supporting our residents.
