Service Overview

Mickley Hall is a wheelchair accessible nursing home Totley near Sheffield. We support up to 39 individuals aged from 18 years old who require nursing care due to a physical disability or neurological condition.

We also focus on supporting the individuals who live at Mickley Hall with all round health & wellbeing programmes, rehabilitation, community access, enablement & transitioning to more independent accommodation, volunteering & purposeful activities.

What is the role?

Physiotherapist – Totley – £17.00 - Variable Hours

  • Ensure the individuals are treated with respect and given opportunities to develop their potential.
  • Carry out designated procedures in line with training, for example, safe moving, handling and transfer techniques and risk assessments.
  • Carry out passive exercises with the people we support and to assist people in using standing frames and tilt tables ensuring customers are safely secured to devices.
  • Help in the promotion of physical activity of the people we support, and prescribe exercises which the people we support may be able to perform to maximise their remaining mobility and ability.
  • Carry out assessment, evaluation, recording and review of each people’s support needs in their person centred plan (PCP) and progress under your direction as the Physiotherapist.
