Service Overview

We specialise in supporting 22 people within our Care Home who have varying needs as a result of physical and long term neurological conditions including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, brain injury, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, speech impairment, spina bifida & hydrocephalus and Stroke.

What is the role?

Kitchen Assistant – Abingdon - £8.91

2 days per week: 10:30am - 6:00pm.

  • To support Cook in preparation for mealtimes, help serve people we support and clean up after meal times.
  • To work closely with the wider care team to learn peoples likes and dislikes
  • To participate in the preparation and cleaning of the kitchen and dining areas as per cleaning schedule, ensuring that the required standard is met, including compliance with COSHH requirements.
  • To follow HACCP system guidelines in the storage, preparation & serving of food.
  • To always keep the kitchen clean and tidy.
  • 3hrs per week to bake/cook with the residents.
