Service Overview

Sun Woodhouse Care Home is located in a pleasant residential area, a short distance from the centre of Huddersfield. We can accommodate up to 24 elderly people, either on a long-term basis or for short respite, with most bedrooms including en-suite facilities.

What is the role?

Cook –Huddersfield – £9.03

  • To plan menus to provide nutritionally balanced, varied and attractively presented meals for people who we support, providing where necessary for any specific dietary requirements and taking note of peoples preferences and making best use of seasonal
  • To ensure that a regular cleaning program of kitchen, dining and storage areas is followed in line with environmental health regulations and following COSHH requirements, (assisting other catering staff with cleaning and washing up as necessary).
  • To ensure follow HACCP system guidelines on the storage, preparation & serving of food are clear and followed by the Catering Team.
  • To ensure food stocks are checked and stores ordered regularly and oversee the receipt and storage of consumables and stock records. Ensure invoices are checked and forwarded to the financial/accounts administrator for processing whilst maintaining budget.
  • To provide catering for parties, buffets, picnics and other special functions that are authorised by the Service
