Service Overview

We specialise in supporting 30 people who have varying needs as a result of physical & long term neurological conditions including cancer care, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, epilepsy, brain injury, Huntington’s disease, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson’s disease, spina bifida & hydrocephalus and stroke.

What is the role?

Kitchen Assistant / Catering Assistant - £9.50 - Brixham.

Part Time - 25 hours per week.

Continuous offering of qualifications - Career Progression - Wellbeing programme for all colleagues.

  • To support the Cook in preparation for meal times, help serve the people we support and clean up afterwards.
  • To work closely with the wider care team to learn peoples likes and dislikes.
  • To participate in the preparation and cleaning of the kitchen and dining areas as per cleaning schedule, ensuring that the required standard is met, including compliance with COSHH requirements.
  • To follow HACCP system guidelines in the storage, preparation & serving of food.
  • To always keep the kitchen clean and tidy.
