What’s on offer:
Hourly Rate: £11.44 plus holiday pay calculated at 15.55% (equivalent of 35 days paid leave per year)
Duration: Fixed Term Contract starting in Term 3 2025 and until 4th July 2026 (subject to a 26-week probationary period) working throughout the next academic year (2025/2026)
Hours: You will be expected to work an average of 2 shifts a week (an average of 10 - 12 hours, however, we cannot guarantee these hours). You must be available to work 8 out of the 10 Wednesday nights (shifts usually 6:30pm - 2:15am) throughout terms 1 and term 2, and then usually a Friday or Saturday night (shifts usually 9:30pm - 2:15am)

What’s the role?
You will be working in The Copper Rooms which is our dedicated venue that delivers a range of exciting events, club nights and live music throughout the academic year.
You will be required to provide first aid when necessary to customers and staff alike, to ensure that Health & Safety requirements are met at all times, and to assist in the safe provision of service outlets whilst supporting the Stewarding Team and providing a customer friendly, professional face of the Union.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills who is able to demonstrate initiative and good verbal communication whilst providing excellent First Aid in our busy venues and bars. You must possess a current First Aid qualification as detailed below:

RESPONSIBLE TO: Venue Manager, Food and Beverage Managers, Head of Strategic Operations, Commercial Operations Director, Chief Executive, Board of Trustees
RESPONSIBLE FOR: None
MAIN PURPOSE FOR JOB: Provide First Aid cover at Union events, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
WORKS CLOSELY WITH: Operations Managers, Head Stewards, University departments, including sports centre, security.
