Salary: £77,405 per annum plus car user allowance starting at £1,250 per annum.
Permanent, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm.

Lead, Transform, and Protect Our Digital Future
We’re looking for a Head of IT Operations & Service Delivery who’s as comfortable diving into a P1 incident or a complex Azure networking issue as they are setting a clear, cost‑aware operations strategy and service roadmap. You’ll lead our Service Operations and Technical Operations functions, ensuring the services our colleagues and customers rely on are available, secure, resilient and cost‑effective.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and inspire operations teams to deliver stable, secure services across end‑user, network, platform and applications, both on premise and in public cloud
- Act as a strategic technologist - deep‑dive into complex Azure and cyber issues whilst also shaping the operational roadmap and service strategy.
- Drive resilience through robust disaster recovery, business continuity and hardened platforms; reduce mean time to restore.
- Deliver cloud transformation, migrating on‑prem infrastructure to Azure over three years securely and cost‑effectively.
- Strengthen our cyber posture with embedded controls, telemetry and automated response playbooks to stay ahead of threats.
- Architect scalable Azure solutions, leveraging deep technical expertise for secure, performant systems.
- Champion service excellence - meet SLAs/SLOs, mature ITIL processes and embed continual improvement.

Salary
The spot salary for this post is £77,405 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. If you’re still developing some of the skills or experience, you can start at a salary 5% or 10% below the spot rate, with clear support and progression opportunities to reach the full amount.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience leading IT Operations in complex environments (across multiple IT systems, in a medium sized business)
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, threat detection, and incident response
- Experience with IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and hybrid cloud strategies
- Strong grasp of infrastructure, networking, and enterprise system
- Experience establishing and enforcing release management frameworks aligned with ITIL
- Strong understanding of infrastructure and application dependencies during releases
- Excellent communication and influencing skills at senior level
