About the role 

As our Governance and Regulation Lead, you’ll ensure statutory compliance and robust governance across Accent Group’s entities. You’ll oversee regulatory frameworks, corporate policies, and governance structures, aligning them with legal and industry standards. Collaborating with key stakeholders, you’ll drive continuous improvement and excellence in governance processes, fostering transparency and accountability.

A key aspect of this role is supporting the effective operation of the Board through skills, succession, and learning and development planning. Additionally, you’ll be closely involved in coordinating Board, Committee, and associated work planning, understanding how this supports the organisation's effective operation. Your role will also include supporting Accent in meeting the requirements of its adopted Code of Governance, overseeing group, subsidiary, and associated company governance.

In this new role, you’ll drive improvements to governance frameworks, support regulatory readiness, and play a key role in the effective running of Boards and Committees—making a real impact on Accent’s future.

Salary

The spot salary for this post is £48,097 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.  

About you 

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in corporate governance or company secretarial roles, along with strong knowledge of regulatory and statutory requirements for UK companies. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are essential. The candidate should have experience in managing statutory filings and returns with regulatory bodies, as well as excellent report-writing and presentational skills. Additionally, experience working with internal and external stakeholders in relation to governance and regulation is crucial.

Interviews

1st stage interviews will take place on 22nd and 23rd May via Teams. 

2nd stage interviews will take place on 4th June at our Bradford office. This interview will consist of a presentation and interview. Candidates will be required to complete a Congruity questionnaire in advance.
