We’re looking for a Technology Operations Engineer who enjoys problem‑solving, collaborating with others, and making a meaningful difference through their technical expertise. If you want to use your skills to support services that positively impact communities, this could be the role for you.
As a Technology Operations Engineer, you’ll play a key role in keeping our technology services available, secure, and performing at their best. These services include:
- Cloud and on‑prem infrastructure
- LAN and WAN networks
- End‑user devices and endpoint management
- Servers, data storage, switching, and security technologies
You’ll monitor our systems, maintain integrations, apply patches, and make sure we’re getting the best from our platforms and suppliers. Most importantly, your work will ensure that our colleagues have the tools they need to deliver essential services to our customers.

Salary
The spot salary for this post is £48,855 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. If you’re still developing some of the skills or experience, you can start at a salary 5% or 10% below the spot rate, with clear support and progression opportunities to reach the full amount.
About you
The essentials
- Proven knowledge in server, data storage, network and security services and technologies
- Strong experience managing on-premise servers, storage systems, and virtualisation platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
- Proficiency in LAN/WAN technologies, switches, firewalls, routing protocols, and network security
- Ability to use monitoring tools for proactive issue resolution.
- Skilled in troubleshooting complex technical issues and performing root cause analysis.
The successful applicant will be subject to pre‑employment checks, such as DBS and social media screening, before an offer is confirmed.

A role related assessment and behavioural and scenario-based interview focused on how you apply your knowledge to real-life situations. You'll be asked to complete a Congruity Questionnaire in advance.
