About the role 

As Risk and Assurance Lead, you'll lead the development and implementation of a robust, customer-focused approach to risk management, internal control, and assurance for Accent Group. Collaborating with key stakeholders, including committee members, you'll identify, assess, and mitigate risks, ensuring excellence in governance and assurance. You'll evaluate performance against social housing regulatory standards and prepare for external reviews. Your leadership in developing and implementing frameworks, with a focus on effective and pragmatic reporting, will significantly impact the organisation's compliance and operational excellence. You'll join a dynamic, developing team with expertise in governance, risk, and assurance, where your contributions will be highly valued, use your expertise to shape and improve the future of risk and assurance frameworks, making a lasting impact on the future of Accent.

Salary

The spot salary for the Risk & Assurance Lead post is £55,917 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.  

About you 

The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in the development and delivery of risk management, internal controls, and assurance frameworks. A relevant qualification is essential, alongside strong knowledge of regulatory and statutory requirements for the UK social housing sector. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail are crucial, as is proficiency in risk management software. The candidate should have experience working with internal and external stakeholders in relation to risk, assurance, and internal control, as well as experience in managing or supervising a team or group of colleagues.

Risk & Assurance Lead Interviews

1st stage interviews will take place on 22nd and 23rd May via Teams. 

2nd stage interviews will take place on 4th June at our Bradford office. This interview will consist of a presentation and interview. Candidates will be required to complete a Congruity questionnaire in advance.
