Overview:
The purpose of this role is to coordinate and expand our Befriending service. This service is dedicated to enriching the lives of older individuals through home visits, phone calls, group activities, volunteering, recruiting volunteers, providing comprehensive training, and fostering effective communication among all stakeholders.
The Salary range for FTE is: £25,334- £26,981 this will then be pro rata to suit 28hours a week.
The role includes leading on the development and implementation of a volunteer training programme, overseeing volunteers and customers, ensuring they are monitored within a structured framework. A key focus will be collaborating with other partners to support customers to make more of life.

EveryDay, a social enterprise wholly owned by Age UK North Tyneside, is looking for Personal Support Assistants in Newcastle.
Due to the nature of some of the customers, a number of runs involve the staff member being specifically Male or Female.
We have the following shift patterns available for both walkers and drivers:
- Wednesday to Saturday: 4pm - 10pm
As part of your role as a Personal Support Assistant, you will be required to provide personal care to individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds. This includes customers of all genders, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, and disabilities. Tasks may include intimate care such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and other forms of personal and emergency care.
As a Personal Support Assistant your goal is to promote and enable our clients to live as independently as possible in their own homes. Personal Support Assistant roles can also vary from companionship, shopping, meal preparation and housework to aiding with medication, bathing and more personal care duties.

Age UK North Tyneside are looking to recruit a Promoting Independence Co-ordinator to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams, both internal and external, to ensure the voice of the customer is heard, and coordinating a range of internal and external services and a team of volunteers to support older people to achieve self-set goals related to their wellbeing.
The Salary range is: £25,334- £26,981
The co-ordinators will meet with older people on a one-to-one basis and carry out a “guided conversation” which is used to draw out the needs and wishes of the customer. The co-ordinator then brings together all of the support and services necessary for the customer to achieve their goals, ensuring that the person is placed at the center of the service provision and coordinating this accordingly.
