Overview:

EveryDay, a social enterprise wholly owned by Age UK North Tyneside, is looking for Personal Support Assistants in Newcastle. 

Due to the nature of some of the customers, a number of runs involve the staff member being specifically Female.

Pool Cars are available for Drivers.

We have the following shift patterns available for drivers:

  • Female driver Sunday to Wednesday: 7:00am - 10:00pm
  • Female driver Wednesday to Saturday: 7:00am - 10:00pm
  • Female driver Sunday to Wednesday: 7:00am - 10:00pm

As part of your role as a Personal Support Assistant, you will be required to provide personal care to individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds. This includes customers of all genders, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, and disabilities. Tasks may include intimate care such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and other forms of personal and emergency care.

As a Personal Support Assistant your goal is to promote and enable our clients to live as independently as possible in their own homes. Personal Support Assistant roles can also vary from companionship, shopping, meal preparation and housework to aiding with medication, bathing and more personal care duties.

This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in supporting older people across the borough—helping them stay connected, maintain independence, and access vital services.

You’ll be at the heart of our operations, delivering excellent customer service, coordinating activities, and ensuring our services run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll be the first point of contact for our customers—supporting them via phone and email, coordinating activities, and helping our teams deliver high-quality services across North Tyneside.

You’ll also manage schedules, bookings, and service delivery logistics while building strong relationships with customers, partners, and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities

Customer & Service Delivery

  • Act as the main contact for customers accessing charity services
  • Provide a high-quality, responsive service aligned with service standards
  • Support customers to engage with services and maintain independence
  • Handle enquiries, bookings, and activity registrations
  • Promote services and signpost customers to appropriate support

Coordination & Administration

  • Manage bookings, appointments, and weekly rotas
  • Coordinate activities across multiple venues
  • Support delivery of social and wellbeing activities and day centres
  • Maintain accurate customer records and CRM data
  • Monitor attendance, participation, and income data

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with partners, providers, and volunteers
  • Liaise with venues to support service delivery
  • Support networking and research to improve local service knowledge

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure GDPR compliance and accurate record keeping
  • Monitor performance, complete reporting, and support audits
  • Ensure invoices are accurate and submitted appropriately
  • Maintain health and safety standards and escalate issues
  • Support feedback collection, complaints handling, and service improvement

Team Support

  • Work flexibly across teams and provide cover where needed
  • Support workforce planning and scheduling
  • Contribute to team meetings and updates

Essential

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Strong administrative experience in a busy environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Ability to manage workloads independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • Understanding and empathy for the needs of older people

Age UK North Tyneside is looking for a Dementia Activity Coordinator to design and deliver engaging, stimulating group sessions that help individuals live well with dementia. This role is all about creating meaningful experiences that bring joy, connection, and support to people living with dementia and their carers. You’ll plan and run activities across North Tyneside, ensuring they follow best practice in dementia care while promoting inclusion and wellbeing.

The Salary range is £25,587-£27,251 (Pro-rata) to 21 Hours

Alongside delivering sessions, you’ll provide advice and signposting to help families access the right support, coordinate volunteers, and maintain high standards of care and compliance. You’ll also play a key part in shaping and developing our dementia services, working closely with colleagues and the community to make a positive impact every day.

Overview:

Age UK North Tyneside Group is seeking an experienced consultant to lead a programme of internal audits across the organisation, including CQC-regulated care and housing services. 
The role will focus on delivering audits across key risk areas, providing assurance and identifying improvements, before supporting the development of a sustainable Quality Assurance and Internal Audit Framework.

Days: 2–3 Days per Week (Consultancy Basis – Negotiable)

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and deliver a risk-based internal audit programme
  2. Undertake audits across care, housing, HR/people and operational controls
  3. Produce concise reports with clear, actionable recommendations
  4. Establish processes for tracking actions and improvements
Compliance Assurance and Baseline
  1. Map regulatory requirements (CQC, RSH) and internal processes
  2. Identify gaps, risks and duplication
  3. Provide an initial assurance position to the Executive Team
Tools and Audit Infrastructure
  1. Develop practical audit templates, reporting formats and tools
  2. Support use of digital compliance systems within audit activity
Process and Efficiency Review
  1. Review SOPs, quality processes, incidents and documentation 
  2. Identify opportunities to improve consistency, reduce duplication and strengthen controls
Future Framework Development (Secondary Phase)
  1. Support development of a longer-term Quality Assurance & Internal Audit Framework
  2. Establish audit schedules, reporting structures and compliance oversight
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
  1. Work with service managers and operational teams to deliver audits
  2. Provide clear updates and insights to the Executive Team
Key Deliverables

Requirements
Essential:
  1. Experience in internal audit, quality assurance or compliance within relevant sectors

  1. Experience with recognised quality standards (e.g. ISO9001, CHAS)

It is desirable to have a qualification relating to Dementia Care (for example, Dementia Awareness Certificate or Level 2 Dementia Care.

As part of your role as a Team Leader, you may be required to provide personal care to individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds. This includes customers of all genders, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, and disabilities. Tasks may include intimate care such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and other forms of personal and emergency care.
