Investment Officer, Music Hubs – COO16

Contract: Permanent, working 35 hours per week (Arts Council also recognises the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way we work, and welcome applications from individuals who require flexibility)

Salary: £30,631 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.

Location: Based at one of the Arts Council’s regional offices in Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Birmingham, Nottingham, Cambridge, Brighton or Bristol (The role will be based at any of the offices listed; however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members of the team, normally 1-2 days a week)

We are looking for a highly organised Investment Officer to support the effective management of the Music Hubs programme.

You will play a critical role in ensuring that over £101 million is invested in music education opportunities across England. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong analytical and administrative skills who enjoys working in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the development of grant processes, producing guidance documentation, and delivering internal and external briefings. You’ll also play a key role in monitoring grant performance and risk assessments, providing timely reports to ensure compliance with funding agreements and helping to shape future policy development. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with our data and insight teams to compile and analyse information, demonstrating the impact of the programme and informing broader music education policy.

In this role, you will work closely with the Music Hub team, as well as colleagues across the Arts Council, ensuring that systems and processes are kept up to date, and that queries from internal and external stakeholders are handled efficiently. You will thrive in this role if you are a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a passion for making a difference through effective grants management.

If you’re eager to contribute to a national initiative supporting children’s access to music education, we’d love to hear from you.
