Relationship Manager, Theatre (SWB7) and Relationship Manager, CYP and Learning (SWB22)

Contract: Permanent, working 35 hours per week (Arts Council also recognises the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way we work, and welcome applications from individuals who require flexibility)

Location: Bristol (The role will be based at the office base listed; however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members of the team, normally 1-2 days a week) 

Arts Council England is looking for two experienced and enthusiastic advocates of culture to work with us as Relationship Managers, based in Bristol and covering the South West region. There are two full-time Relationship Manager posts available: one with a specialism in Children and Young People (starting as soon as possible), and the other with a specialism in Theatre (starting January).

Working as part of the South West area team and closely with the national CYP or Theatre teams, you will contribute to the shaping and delivery of the Arts Council’s strategy across the South West. You will manage a portfolio of organisations from across the region and will advise on and assess funding applications from individuals and organisations across the cultural sector.

  • Managing a portfolio of funded organisations from across the South West
  • Advising on and assessing funding applications from individuals and organisations
  • Contributing to cultural placemaking work.

To apply, you will need good knowledge and experience of EITHER working with Children and Young People OR working in the Theatre sector. You’ll also need:

  • Relationship or stakeholder management experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work well across the sector and within Arts Council across various teams
  • Knowledge of business planning, financial reporting and cultural placemaking
  • An understanding of place-based working.
