Contract: Permanent, working 35 hours per week (Arts Council also recognises the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way we work, and welcome applications from individuals who require flexibility)

Salary: £29,092 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working. 

Location: London (The role will be based in London; however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members of the team, normally 1-2 days a week) 

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and well organised individual with strong administrative, interpersonal and communication skills to support the Visual Arts and Museums Team (VAM), London. We would also welcome knowledge and interest in the visual arts and museums sectors. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who can juggle multiple priorities, communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, and exercise sound judgement when managing competing deadlines.

Working in a fast-paced environment, your role will involve:

  • providing administrative support to funding panels and assessors
  • co-ordinating the team’s internal and external meetings
  • diary support for the Senior Management Team
  • note-taking
  • collating information and data entry
  • running administrative support systems for VAM team
  • assisting with workload planning
  • filing and archiving support for VAM team

 

You will be responsible for liaison and collaborative working across the organisation, including, with in VAM teams Relationship Managers,  Operations team in London, our Investment Centre in Manchester and our area Communications team. You will be the first point of contact for the team, responding to queries and liaising with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. members of the public, artists, arts organisations).
