Introduction:
We are looking for a curious and insight‑driven analyst to join us on a 12‑month project, playing a key role in unlocking the value of Illuminate, Arts Council England’s audience data and insights programme.
This role sits within the Insights Department, working collaboratively with other analysts within the organisation.
In this role, you will analyse, interpret and bring to life insights from Illuminate, alongside other relevant internal and external datasets. Your work will directly support the arts and cultural sector by turning complex data into clear, meaningful insights that help organisations understand their audiences and make better‑informed decisions.
A core focus of the role is making insight accessible and actionable. You will translate detailed analysis into engaging outputs that resonate with a range of audiences - ensuring findings are clear, relevant and easy to use. You will identify and communicate emerging trends and patterns, sharing these with the sector to support learning, reflection and evidence‑based action.
Over the course of the 12‑month project, you will produce and present high‑quality analysis, data products and reporting, designed around the needs of users, colleagues, stakeholders and the public. Your work will help ensure that insights are not only robust and timely, but genuinely useful in practice.
Working closely with the Illuminate Product Manager, you will help shape how insights are delivered within and outside of the platform, ensuring analytical outputs are aligned to user needs and support ongoing development. You will also analyse platform usage and user behaviour, identifying opportunities to improve how insights and features are used and understood.
Collaborating with the Senior Manager (Data & Insights Engagement) and wider team, you will contribute to a shared goal: ensuring insight is actively used, widely shared, and continues to grow in quality, relevance and impact across the sector.
This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your analytical and communication skills in a role with real‑world impact - helping shape how data is used across arts and culture, and contributing to a high‑profile national platform during a focused 12‑month delivery period.
