Contract: Fixed term until 30 June 2026, working 35 hours per week. Arts Council also recognises the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way we work, and welcome applications from individuals who require flexibility)
Salary: £27,401 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.
Location: Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Birmingham, Nottingham, Cambridge, Bristol or Brighton (The role will be based at …; however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members of the team, normally 1-2 days a week)
Thanks to Government capital investment funding, Arts Council England provides financial assistance to museums, libraries and arts organisations to invest in buildings, equipment, digital infrastructure and technology with a view to securing their longer-term viability and sustainability.
For the financial year 2025/2026, the following programmes will run:
- Libraries Improvement Fund (LIF) – Funding for public libraries of up to £500,000 (Total available £5.5m)
- Museum Estate and Development Fund (MEND) – Funding for urgent repairs to accredited non-national museums up to £5m (Total available £25m)
- Creative Foundations Fund (CFF) – Funding for equipment and buildings for arts organisations – Strand 1 up to £1m and Strand 2 Over £1m and up to £10m (Total available £85m)
We are expanding our Capital team to oversee the delivery of these programmes alongside our existing capital investment.
Arts Council England has an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as an Assistant working as part of the Capital Relationships and Monitoring Team, providing administrative support to the delivery of our Capital programmes, servicing and event-managing internal and external business meetings.
We are looking for a collaborative team player with experience in providing administrative and programme support. This role requires someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a highly organised approach, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities while working autonomously.
