Contract: Fixed term until 10 July 2027, working 35 hours per week. (Arts Council also recognises the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way we work, and welcome applications from individuals who require flexibility)

 

Salary: £28,662 per annum Grade E plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working. 

 

Location: Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham, Birmingham, Newcastle, Cambridge, Bristol, Brighton (The role will be based in any of the locations listed; however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members of the team, normally 1-2 days a week) 

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to take on the Assistant role for the Environmental Responsibility and New Technology & Innovation teams.

 

The main duties include providing administrative assistance to the directors and their teams, scheduling and managing internal and external meetings, diary management, and co-ordinating administrative processes. Undertaking research tasks, preparing briefings, gathering and disseminating information, and running administrative support systems for both teams.

 

Candidates should have experience of providing administrative support, delivering a timely, efficient, accurate and high-quality service. The successful candidate will be highly organised with the ability to prioritise and juggle multiple priorities to meet tight deadlines and have good interpersonal and communication skills – both verbal and written. Flexibility and the ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively in busy team environments are key.

 

We are looking for experience of using standard Microsoft packages and Microsoft 365 which support our teams’ ways of working.

 

Our work is fast moving and varied which makes this role very dynamic.
