Senior Manager, Estates (FCS29)
Contract: Permanent, working 35 hours per week (Arts Council also recognises the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way we work, and welcome applications from individuals who require flexibility)
Location: Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Cambridge, Bristol, Brighton (The role will be based in any of the locations listed; however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members of the team, normally 1-2 days a week)
You will play a leading role in shaping and managing Arts Council England’s property portfolio, ensuring our workplaces and property assets support the organisation’s ambitions, provide value for money, and meet the needs of our people.
In this role, you will:
• Make sure we get the best possible use from our current property portfolio, identifying opportunities to improve how our spaces are used, reduce costs, plan future property needs, and manage areas such as maintenance, leases, small assets and office occupancy.
• Lead the delivery of our property strategy by developing a clear implementation plan, identifying risks, planning mitigations and setting out the budget requirements needed for success.
• Commission and manage the professional expertise needed to deliver property changes, including property agents, architects, design teams, contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure property decisions are commercially sound, deliver strong economic benefit for Arts Council England, and are achieved within agreed timescales and budgets.
