What we need in a nutshell

We need a strong and experienced leader for our accommodation cleaning team based at our Newquay Bay Resort.

This Cornwall resort provides short stay holidays in high standard accommodation within beautiful surroundings. Our accommodation has been designed and built to the highest standards and we need a team who will work to maintain these standards and deliver delight to our guests. Our housekeeping team are responsible for are units of accommodation.

What you’ll be doing

We’re not your average holiday company. Our guests come to our UK resorts to experience a world away from the day-to-day and our job is to surprise and delight them at every turn. As a key member of our park management team, you will have overall responsibility for putting the ‘wow’ factor into our accommodation.

This crucial role includes:

  • Managing and motivating of your Team Leaders and their teams
  • Working seamlessly with other managers to ensure guests have a great holiday.
  • Managing budgets, workload planning and recruitment; keeping staff turnover low and costs under control
  • Leading by example; getting stuck in when you need to but delegating to give your team opportunities to shine.

One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on bank holidays too.

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need.

We’ll provide specific park training, but you must:

  • Have senior management experience in a practical, time-pressured environment.
  • Have a leadership style that is open and approachable but that commands respect.
  • Be able to plan and organise the workload, training and management of a large team.
  • Have solid experience in the hospitality sector.
