Hot Tub Team Leader

Location: The Lakes Rookley, Isle of Wight

Hours: Permanent Contract – 40 hours per week

Salary: £28,143 per annum

You will have an eye for detail, and this will be visible in the Department under your leadership. You will have the ability to communicate effectively in an emergency and keep calm. This role is to support with the running of the Hot Tubs department all year round and also to support and cover in the Leisure Department, which operates a swimming pool on a seasonal basis.

You will be pro-active in your approach to your work, always thinking ahead, and thinking of new ways to do things.

The nitty gritty of what you’ll be doing

You will be supporting the department Manager leading a small team to deliver to our guests the very best experience.

You will be responsible for ensuring the department has safety in the forefront of its mind at all times, making sure we follow the health and safety and hot tub safety policies at all times.

Working as part of our team of holiday heroes, you will be helping to look after all our hot tubs on park. You’ll make sure that they are:

• Working properly, drain and fill them on changeover days and test them every day, adjusting the chemicals if you need to.

• Glistening and always in tiptop shape.
• Well maintained and always safe for our guests to use, recorded through our compliance checks.

You will also be multi-skilled to support and cover where required in our Leisure Team, looking after guests using the Swimming Pool. And who knows what else you may find yourself doing! As long as you’re happy to help even when it’s ‘not your job,’ you’re our sort of person.

One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on bank holidays too.

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need

We’ll provide training, but ideally you would:

• Know your way around a Hot Tub, even better if you know your way around a Swimming Pool too!
• Have an awareness of what clean and in working order means – which includes attention to detail and getting a genuine thrill from a job well-done
• Have a friendly and helpful attitude when you meet guests and good at communicating within your team.
• Have a talent for practical jobs and for troubleshooting when problems arise.
• Be open to learning – experience isn’t as important as eagerness to learn
• Be willing to turn your hand to anything – guests come first, so you need to be alert to their needs and ready to help.
