Swimming Instructor

Location: Piperdam Golf & Leisure Resort - Piperdam Dundee

Hours of work: 14 hours per week; Variable seasonal contract

Salary: £11.75 per hour

What we need in a nutshell

We’re looking for an experienced and super-enthusiastic Swimming instructor who can deliver delight to our lovely community, members, owners and residents at our fabulous indoor swimming pool.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be the Piperdam's Swimming Instructor Holiday Hero, leading fun and rewarding sessions in the pool for our community and members. This includes:

• Planning and leading swimming classes for customers, ensuring they are fun and safe
• Setting up and packing away equipment at the start and end of each session
• Looking after the swimming equipment and highlighting issues or replacement needs
• Promoting health and wellbeing and learn to swim to our customers
• Generating awareness and interest in classes to maximise attendance

One more thing…we’re always busy at holiday times, so you may need to work your magic on bank holidays and weekends too.

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and a strong customer service ethos. If you can tick the following boxes, let’s hear from you:

• Certification and experience as a swimming instructor - L1TVA
• At least 2 years experience.
• Front of House experience in the hospitality/leisure industry
• Excellent communication skills
• Friendly and outgoing personality
• Ability to think creatively and solve problems
• As comfortable with the admin side of things as you are running classes.
