What we are looking for

We need someone who can train and inspire our accommodation cleaners to make sure our guest accommodation is so clean that it sparkles.

Some of the background

Sandy Balls Holiday Park is not only unique for its unusual name but read on and you’ll get to know more. Set in the heart of the beautiful New Forest just 5 minutes from Fordingbridge and 6 Miles from Ringwood this premium Holiday Park location is a true gem.

Sandy Balls is a very diverse day to day operation with everything from swimming areas, retail outlets…entertainment venues…sports & leisure facilities & loads of indoor and outdoor activities and pretty much open all year round.
We need you to be the person who delivers delight by ensuring that our accommodation cleaners have the training and skills they need to give our guest accommodation the wow factor.

What you will be doing

As part of team, you be our cleaning trainer, who works with our accommodation cleaners on a one-to-one basis, giving them on the job training so that they know exactly what our (extremely high) standards are, and they are confident they can meet them. This will include:

  • Practical training, revealing the secrets that make our accommodation spotlessly clean
  • Inspiring and motivating cleaners to deliver delight to our guests in their work
  • Developing training programs and ensuring everyone is up to date with their training
  • Liaising with managers internally and keeping up date on external regulations and guidelines so that our cleaning regimes are consistent, safe and compliant.
  • Striving to make our cleaning get better and better

Your goal will be to build a cleaning team that is skilled, well-informed and motivated to deliver delight to our guests.

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need

Are you someone who loves working with people and bringing out the best in them? Are you a great team player? Do you have an almost superhuman attention to detail? And are you a talented trainer?

We’ll provide training, but you must:

  • Previous experience within an accommodation department within a high volume hospitality business
  • Experience training teams
  • Ability to work under pressure and communicate well.
  • Be Customer focused with a Friendly & helpful attitude
  • Be Calm a methodical character but of strong character…this is a busy place!
  • Attention to detail even little ones and high standards

These are the must-haves, along with a knowledge and understanding of what clean really means, the ability to recognise good work and praise it, and the skills and patience to coach on areas that need improving.

It’s about your values too. We have a can-do, fun loving, people centred ethos here at Away Resorts, which is captured by our holiday heroes’ mantra of Attentive Amazing Lovers – if that’s fired up your curiosity, have a read about it here and decide if it describes you.
