Who are we?

We are a dynamic and growing company, shaking up the Great British holiday. At our amazing UK resorts we pull out all the stops and add the bells and whistles to give our guests the holiday of a lifetime.

Set in 650 acres of idyllic Angus countryside, Piperdam combines superb  accommodation and award winning facilities to create the ultimate Scottish Experience.  Our facilities include our Room with a View restaurant and Howie’s bar.

What you will be doing

We need someone who understands that a first-class guest experience is an essential part of their stay at Piperdam. Here are some of the things you will be doing:

  • Open up or close down of the kitchen
  • Managing the shift and team in the kitchen
  • Assisting the management team in coaching and training
  • Working as part of a team you will be responsible for food preparation and cooking.
  • Ensuring presentation of menu items to a high standard.
  • Adhering to operational cleanliness and food hygiene
  • Supporting team members to help them be the best they can be
  • Ensuring restocking at the end of a shift
  • Complying with all the legal requirements

And who knows what else you may find yourself doing. If you are happy to help even when it is ‘not your job,’ you are our sort of person.

Skills, experience, and qualities you will need

We have high standards! We will train you up, but you must:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Passion for food and delivering excellent service
  • Experience supervising a team
  • Ability to think on your feet and deal with problems
  • Experience with stock control and working to a budget
  • Working closely with the Kitchen Manager you will be an integral part of the team; you should also be happy to interact with customers.

It’s about your values too. We have a can-do, fun loving, people centred ethos here at Away Resorts, which is captured by our holiday heroes’ mantra of Attentive Amazing Lovers – if that’s fired up your curiosity, Have a read about it and see if it describes you.

Nice to have but not essential

It would be great if you tick some of these boxes too (but we will not hold it against you if you don’t).

  • Kitchen management or team leader experience
  • Experience of working in the holiday sector

What we can offer you

We look after you with a great range of benefits, including:

  • Training & development
  • Personalised uniform
  • Regular incentives and rewards
  • Discounted holidays across all our parks
