This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced Food and Beverage operator to oversee our external food and beverage units. Comprising of bars, ice cream and some brand-new purpose-built catering units, Filthy Fries and Sweet stackers in one on Lincolnshire’s top holiday destinations. We want someone who has the drive to oversee multiple revenue streams over wet, dry and retail organising the operation to make it a commercial and critical success through creative thinking and practical and diligent implementation.

Some of the background

We’re not your average holiday company. Our guests come to our UK resorts to experience a world away from their day-to-day. When they are with us, they play crazy games, enjoy show-stopping entertainment and live in the moment. Our job is to surprise and delight them at every turn.

We need you to be the person who leads and inspires your food and beverage team to deliver delight to all our guests.

What you’ll be doing

Working as part of our team of Holiday Heroes, you will be supporting the Commercial Manager and making sure that our guests are fed, watered and having the best possible time away with us.  This includes:

  • Leading, training and motivating a team to deliver delight.
  • Oversee the daily opening, operation and closing of several food and beverage operations
  • Working alongside the team in several different areas ensuring that everywhere if fully operational, all the time.
  • Driving revenue through service and sales whilst having an eye on profitable growth, delivered with care and flair
  • Controlling margin through careful stock management and stock reconciliation through weekly stocktakes.
  • Keeping up to date with all Licencing, H&S and internal processes and procedures.

One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times and eating, and drinking goes on in into the night, so you’ll need to work your magic on bank holidays, evenings and weekends too.

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need

We have high standards! We’ll train you up, but you must:

  • Have previous management experience in an F&B environment
  • Have excellent knowledge of industry trends
  • Show evidence of your superb people management skills
  • Have an eye for detail, a head for business and a mindset for innovation
  • Know your profit and loss from your balance sheet and be able to control costs and grow profit
  • Have knowledge and experience of catering and its many challenges
  • Have energy, enthusiasm and a positive attitude

It’s about your values too. We have a can-do, fun loving, people centred ethos here at Away Resorts, which is captured by our holiday heroes’ mantra of Attentive Amazing Lovers – if that’s fired up your curiosity, have a read about it here and decide if it describes you.

Nice to have but not essential

It would be great if you tick some of these boxes too (but we won’t hold it against you if you don’t).

  • Experience of working in the holiday sector
  • Experience of overseeing several different catering and wet led units.
