What we need in a nutshell

We want our guests to enjoy a whale of a time down at the pool and to be safe too, so we need qualified lifeguards who have outstanding people skills.

The nitty gritty of what you’ll be doing

Are you passionate about creating unforgettable moments and ensuring guests have the time of their lives? We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Holiday Hero, dedicated to making every guest's holiday exceptional.

Also! You will look after everyone’s safety, keep the whole area clean and hygienic and make sure that we’re meeting our legal requirements.

We need an individual to be proactive in answering any questions, providing assistance with a friendly attitude, and ensuring we are providing a holiday experience that is enjoyable to customers as much as possible. Taking initiative to address any concerns or issues that may arise promptly and effectively.

In addition to being a friendly face during their stay, I'll also bring my skills to the reception duties. Handling calls, managing bookings, addressing inquiries, and responding to emails in a timely manner are all part of the job.

One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on bank holidays too.

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need

There’s lots of training on offer but you will need:

  • A Valid NPLQ is desired but not required (Training will be provided for suitable candidates).
  • Fantastic interpersonal skills – you’ll need to be assertive as well as friendly
  • To be naturally vigilant and helpful - guests come first, so you need to be alert to their needs as well as their safety

It’s about your values too. We have a can-do, fun loving, people centred ethos here at Away Resorts, which is captured by our holiday heroes’ mantra of Attentive Amazing Lovers – if that’s fired up your curiosity, have a read about it here and decide if it describes you.

If your application is successful, you’ll have to apply for an Enhanced DBS. We need to be happy that this, together other information we may request, is all in order before you can join the team.
