This key role ensures the park is impeccably maintained and visually outstanding, with responsibilities spanning repairs, maintenance, and enhancements—from entrance signage to boundary fencing. A strong focus on planning and organisation is essential, ensuring that all OPEX and CAPEX projects are effectively scheduled and executed. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role as we prepare to invest significantly in our park's future.

What you’ll be doing
As part of our dedicated team of holiday heroes, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation, upkeep, and presentation of our park. This role involves managing the grounds and maintenance team, including oversight of our 9 and 18 hole golf courses, to maintain the park to the highest standards. Key responsibilities include:
• Team Leadership and Scheduling: Effectively managing team rotas to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow.
• Grounds, Landscaping, and Greenkeeping: Overseeing the maintenance and enhancement of the park's landscaping and golf courses, ensuring they are always in pristine condition and meet the expectations of our guests.
• Maintenance Coordination: Allocating and prioritising maintenance tasks, ranging from routine fixes like replacing light bulbs to more complex repairs such as heating issues or larger projects.
• Accommodation Standards: Conducting regular checks and overseeing maintenance of our 100 lodges, ensuring all facilities meet or exceed our quality standards.
• Collaborative Repairs: Partnering with external tradespeople and contractors as needed to carry out repairs or installations efficiently.
• Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) Projects: Playing a key role in managing and delivering planned investment projects, ensuring budgets, timelines, and quality standards are met.
• On-Call Responsibilities: Providing on-call support for after-hours security and urgent maintenance needs, contributing to the safety and security of the park.
• Problem-Solving: Tackling a wide variety of tasks, often stepping in to address challenges that others cannot resolve.
• Commitment to Excellence: Demonstrating a genuine drive to see all tasks through to completion with pride and attention to detail.
This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of planned investments in our park, taking a lead role in driving improvements while ensuring ongoing operational excellence. Your expertise in greenkeeping, maintenance, and project management will be instrumental in shaping the future of our park.
Guests and staff will look to you to fix what’s broken and restore order, so you will need to be confident, friendly and obliging in addition to your practical skills.
One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you’ll need to work your magic on bank holidays, evenings and weekends too.
Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need
We will train you, but you’ll need to have the following skills and experience to apply for this role:
• Experience of managing a team of trades and general assistants
