About the role

We need someone who can be an asset to the team in the kitchen, keeping things clean and organised so that the chefs can concentrate on working their magic for hungry guests. Experience is not necessary as full training will be provided. A can-do attitude and attention to detail are essential. Being available to work evenings and weekends including bank holidays are also essential.

Working in any one of our 2 amazing venues.

The Spitfire Bar and Restaurant is the buzzing heart of the action—our largest and liveliest venue, serving up to 1,500 guests a day during peak times! With a fresh, made-in-house menu full of hearty pub classics, we keep the energy high from morning breakfast to late-night bites. But Spitfire is more than just great food—it’s a full-on entertainment hotspot, hosting bingo, live shows, and late-night fun. Fast-paced, vibrant, and always packed with personality, it’s the perfect place to work if you thrive in the hustle and love being where the buzz is!

The Propeller Bar and Restaurant is a stylish, full-service à la carte dining experience that brings a vibrant Mediterranean flair to the heart of the resort. From hand-stretched pizzas and fresh pastas to succulent steaks, every dish is crafted with passion and flair—perfect for guests craving something a little more special. Open for lunch and dinner with bookings recommended, Propeller offers an elevated and relaxed atmosphere, complete with stunning lakeside views that make every shift feel like a getaway. Whether you’re serving up flavour or working behind the scenes, it’s a sleek, social, and fast-paced environment where great food and good vibes go hand in hand.

What you will be doing

You will be working in the engine room of the kitchen ensuring guests receive a memorable experience through excellent service and food quality.

  • Washing dishes, utensils and equipment until they sparkle
  • Maintaining kitchen areas and sweeping and mopping the floor
  • Keeping storerooms tidy and organised.
  • Carrying out daily cleaning rotas
  • Helping in leaving the kitchen ship-shape for the next shift.

And who knows what else you may find yourself doing. If you are happy to help even when it is ‘not your job,’ you are our sort of person.

Skills, experience, and qualities you will need.

We have high standards! We will train you up, but it would be nice if you had:

  • A passion for food and hospitality
  • Resilience, energy, enthusiasm and a positive attitude

It’s about your values too. We have a can-do, fun loving, people centred ethos here at Away Resorts, which is captured by our holiday heroes’ mantra of Attentive Amazing Lovers – if that’s fired up your curiosity, have a read about it here and decide if it describes you.

Nice to have but not essential.

It would be great if you tick some of these boxes too (but we will not hold it against you if you don’t).

  • Previous experience working in food and beverage environment.
  • Level 2 Hygiene certificate.

It’s the icing on the cake if you have a Level 3 Hygiene certificate and experience in the holiday sector, but don’t worry if you haven’t, we provide plenty of training.

What we can offer you

Enjoy some great benefits, including:

  • Training & development
  • Regular incentives and rewards
  • Discounted holidays across all our parks
