We have a 70 Acre circa lake which sits at the centre of our merlin leisure complex that we operate several exciting water sports activities from, this includes stand up paddleboarding, Kayaking and Canoeing. Also new in 2023 we opened our very own aqua park, which is an exhilarating inflatable obstacle course on the water. To ensure all activities run as fun and safe as possible all our activities are supervised by a team of RLSS Open Water Lifeguards. The Sports and Leisure department has had some major investment over the last couple of years with lots of opportunities for further progression. What really makes us special as a company is our team of people making all this happen. We are a growing business and are now looking for Water Sports Manager. What you’ll be doing

Working as part of our team of holiday heroes, you will oversee the management of all our Water Sports Facilities. You’ll be looking after everyone’s safety, ensuring your areas of responsibility are safe, clean and meeting legal requirements.

• Ensuring the aqua park and water sports facilities are clean and hygienic ready for our guests and meeting or exceeding our high standards
• Ensuring your team are delivering the highest standard of service possible
• Supporting your supervisors to resolve issues and complaints so that guests feel valued
• Ensuring compliance with our policies, procedures, and manuals
• Welcome, train and motivate team
• When the aqua park and water sports are closed at the end of the season you will assist the pool manager with managing and operating the pool facilities

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need.

There’s plenty of training, but what we require you to already have:

• A current RLSS Open water Lifeguard Qualification
• A reputable SUP Instructor Qualification
• Level 2 Power Boat Handling Qualification
• 3 Years of water sports experience
• Great interpersonal skills – you’ll need to be assertive as well as friendly.
• A current RLSS National Pool Lifeguard qualification (Desirable but not essential)
• A current Pool Plant Operator Qualification (Desirable but not essential)

One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on weekends and bank holidays too.
