Salary: £12.59 per hour
Hours of Work: Various Hours Per Week – Seasonal

Must hold a current valid NPLQ and a First Aid at Work certificate, as well as experience in backwashing and COSHH.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Sports & Leisure Team Leader, you'll assist in operating the leisure centre to achieve maximum sales while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. You'll work with the Leisure Manager, Assistant Leisure Manager, and other team leaders to:

  • Actively market and promote the business, seeking opportunities to increase sales and improve customer service.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate the team to ensure efficient and effective operation of the centre.
  • Maintain and develop the highest levels of service and safety within the leisure centre.
  • Oversee the security of facilities, cleanliness, maintenance, plant operation, water quality testing, and stock replenishment.
  • Process financial transactions, cash reconciliation, and accept bookings in compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness throughout the centre.
  • Monitor and maintain the safety and welfare of customers and staff.

Skills, Experience, and Qualities You’ll Need

We’ll provide training, but you must have:

  • A current valid NPLQ and a First Aid at Work certificate.
  • Experience in backwashing and COSHH.
  • A good standard of education, ideally to GCSE level or equivalent.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and communicate effectively.
  • A customer-focused attitude with attention to detail.

Desirable:

  • Pool Plant Operator (PPO), National Pool Management Qualification (NPMQ), or equivalent.
  • Fire Warden training.
