An exciting opportunity role embedded within the heart of the Finance team, responsible for leading and supporting key initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency, effectiveness, and control environment of our finance function.  

 

This role is crucial for driving process improvements, implementing new technologies, and ensuring alignment with our overall business strategy.  With relentless curiosity, you’ll work with a wide range of stakeholders to identify areas to streamline & simplify through a deep understanding of the organisations current, and future needs.

  • Spot opportunities for smarter ways of working by reviewing our current processes and controls to pinpoint where we can be leaner, faster, and more effective 
  • Be the driving force for change, delivering automation, standardisation, and simplification across finance through impactful process improvements 
  • Cut through complexity with practical solutions ensuring every change is business-focused, fit for purpose, and aligned with our strategic goals 
  • Own the change journey by leading finance transformation projects from start to finish, with strong governance, clear project plans, and effective risk management 
  • Keep progress on track, monitoring milestones, tackle roadblocks, and escalate risks before they become issues 
  • Bring people with you, winning trust and buy-in across finance and the wider business to make change stick 
  • Champion new technologies and support the rollout of innovative finance systems to streamline and future-proof operations 
  • Empower through knowledge, designing and deliver engaging training on new processes and systems for finance and beyond 
  • Bridge the gap between finance and tech by working with IT, finance process owners, and system experts to ensure business needs are captured and delivered. 

 

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need: 

  • Strong understanding of finance processes and best practices 
  • Operational finance process experience or experience in audit 
  • Experience in driving process improvement and change 
  • Broad user knowledge of finance systems  
  • Proven project management skills – from planning to delivery 
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Inquisitive mindset with a drive to understand and improve 
  • Clear, confident communicator with strong people skills 
  • Collaborative and self-sufficient, someone who thrives in cross-functional teams 
  • Strong documentation skills – clear, concise business writing for any audience 
  • Agility and ability to adapt to the needs of the business 
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities 

 

It’s the icing on the cake, but not essential if you have experience in the leisure and hospitality sector.
