What is the role?

Brendoncare are looking for a Senior Care Assistant to join our care home in Winchester, Hampshire.

Meadway is affectionately known as the 'hidden gem of St Cross'. We currently have 13 rooms with residents living with varying degrees of need, and a waiting list for new residents to join us. Meadway is based on the St Cross Road, on the way to Winchester City Centre, and the majority of our residents have lived locally for a large portion, if not the majority of, their lives. 

Who are you? 

We are seeking a Senior Care Assistant who shares our passion for providing the best possible care for our residents and who can demonstrate professionalism and energy in the home.

 We are looking for somebody who:

  • Supports our commitment to providing the best possible care for our residents and our ability to make them feel like family within a loving home. We need you to be like minded in this approach, valuing the small things which are important to each of our residents.
  • In addition, you need to possess good communication skills, be a team player, be reliable and committed and have a natural affinity to older people.

Summary Responsibilities:

  • Leading care teams
  • Medication administration
  • Supporting and training new care staff
  • Support with personal care, activities, physical, mental and emotional wellbeing
  • Undertake one to one's, PDR's and development reviews with designated care staff
  • Facilitate communication between households and departments
