Catering Assistant

We're looking for a Catering Assistant to join our friendly team at Brendoncare Stildon. Working alongside our Chef Manager and Second Chef, you'll help prepare nutritious, appetising meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents, while ensuring the kitchen remains safe, clean and well organised.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with the preparation of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks
Supporting meal preparation in line with residents' dietary requirements
Stock rotation and safe food storage
Maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness
Completing HACCP records accurately
Ensuring COSHH and food hygiene standards are met and exceeded
Supporting the wider catering team to deliver an excellent dining experience

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Reliable, organised and able to work well as part of a team
Passionate about food and maintaining high standards
Committed to excellent food hygiene and safety practices
Caring and respectful in their approach to older people

Priority will be given to applicants with experience working in a care home environment or catering for older/vulnerable adults, with an understanding of their dietary and nutritional needs.
