Location: Covering multiple Brendoncare sites, including Meadway (Winchester) and others as required
Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week (Monday–Friday)
Pay: £14.32 per hour + mileage reimbursement
Contract: Permanent

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Peripatetic Maintenance Person to join our facilities team, supporting the maintenance and upkeep of multiple Brendoncare care homes.
This full-time role involves working across various locations, including Meadway in Winchester, with a typical weekly pattern of two days at Meadway and three days supporting other sites. However, as a peripatetic role, flexibility is essential, and you may be required to respond to the needs of any Brendoncare location.
You will ensure that each site is maintained to a high standard and in accordance with health and safety, regulatory, and internal requirements, helping to create safe and comfortable environments for residents, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular checks of buildings and facilities

Identify and resolve faults or liaise with approved contractors

Ensure planned preventative maintenance is completed on schedule

Maintain accurate records of inspections, tasks and repairs

Manage maintenance-related budgets and purchasing in liaison with managers

Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and contractors

Undertake decoration and refurbishment work, including preparing vacant rooms

Carry out repairs and upkeep of furniture, fittings, and garden equipment

Maintain grounds as needed, including mowing, weeding, and general tidying
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
-
Valid UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle

Practical knowledge of building maintenance and at least one trade skill (e.g. plumbing, electrical, carpentry)

Understanding of health and safety regulations

IT literacy, including use of Outlook, Word and Excel

Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and travel between sites
Desirable:

PAT testing qualification

Previous experience in the care or residential sector
